Total Solar Eclipse August 21, 2017
Here will be my images taken of the Total Solar Eclipse, but from my viewpoint, will be a 65% partial eclipse.

The day started off cloudy, then the clouds broke intermittently. Towards the start of the eclipse, it appeared as if it was going to clear for the main event. However, there were some high thin clouds present at the start of the eclipse. As the eclipse progressed, the clouds got thicker with breaks every few seconds. Towards mid-eclipse it looked like it would be clearer, but the clouds only got thicker as the eclipse went on. I got many pics with clouds in front of the Sun. So I chose the best pictures I thought were better to look at and squeezed in a few shots of a cloudy eclipse. I am glad I stayed at home for this eclipse. My first destination was Missouri and it appeared that it got clouded out for the event. The eclipse ended at 4:00 pm local time, but I stopped taking pictures at 3:30 pm, because the clouds were just too thick and you couldn't see much of the Sun at all. After I broke down my equipment and got everything packed away, the clouds parted and would have made for a decent end to a fairly nice eclipse. See you in 2024!

Future Eclipses (post Aug 2017)
OK, the next series of Eclipses for the USA will be an Annular eclipse, as seen from Texas in 2023. Then in April 2024, there will another Total Solar eclipse that travels from Texas to Maine, through NY, VT, NH, ME and finally into Nova Scotia. Since I live in MA, it won't be that far of a drive for me to get into Northern NH or the middle of Maine.
August 2045 will see another coast to coast eclipse from CA to FL. March 2052, will see a Total Solar eclipse go from Mexico up through SC. Then again in March 2078 will see another Mexico to SC eclipse and in May 2079, there will be a Total Solar eclipse starting in PA, through NY and on to Boston!
Lastly, there will be an eclipse, Sept 2099, that starts in Southern Canada and tracks it's way across the middle part of the US all the way to Virginia Beach, VA.
